Our Mission is to ensure that all students have the foundation for success
and are challenged to reach their full potential.

The Action Plan will be released in early 2013 and available to the public.  Each school, plus the district administration team, will have their own individual plan to achieve goal #4 of the Strategic Plan.  The school plans will be created with and approved by each school's principal.  Researched-based methods will be complimented by comments and suggestions from local students, parents, teachers, community leaders and Teton County residents.  This is a strategic planning project and the mission of the Teton County School District will be the project goal at all times.

The Process of Creating the Plan
  1. Each school and the district administration completes An Inventory of Practices of School, Family and Community Partnerships.  A version of this tool can be download on our resources page as a PDF.
  2. Public comment is received and recorded, by school, throughout the project.
  3. Using information from the inventories, data from the school climate surveys and public comment, focus groups will be created will be created to explore areas that need additional information.  Those focus groups will be posted on this site.
  4. The action plans will include inventory data, summarized comment information and focus group information.  The organization of the action plan documents will follow Dr. Joyce Epstein's Framework of Six Types of Involvement, connecting the action plans with the evidence-based methodologies and outcome measurement tools available through that resource.

The final action plans will be posted here in late January of 2013.
